Michael Mulhern

Acting CEO/ Director of Planning, Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation

Michael is a qualified Town Planner and Urban Designer who started his career working in Haringey Council’s Regeneration Directorate. He joined the Greater London Authority’s Planning Team in 2007, where he helped to secure delivery of high quality development on various complex sites across London. Michael led the production of a number of Opportunity Area Planning Frameworks and the determination of numerous complex planning applications including for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In 2012, Michael joined the newly established Mayor of London’s Regeneration Team and was charged with helping to put in place new regeneration programmes for both Croydon and Tottenham. This work unlocked significant Mayoral investment in both centres, which is aiding both Haringey and Croydon Council to deliver large scale changes in both places.

In early 2014, Michael took on the role of establishing London’s second Mayoral Development Corporation, Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation, where he was formally appointed Director of Planning once it was established in 2015.

Michael is now in the role of interim CEO and is charged with delivering the vision of 25,500 new homes and 65,000 new jobs in this exciting part of London.
